  Excess materials were donated to the Levy County Public Library at the recommendation of Mr. Brasher, Levy County Library Director was pleased to have these materials as Levy County has an extremely small materials budget. Dickison, Trustees Foundation Representative, reported that the Foundation Gala with Michael Connelly was well attended with over 240 people in attendance.   She congratulated all the Foundation volunteers who organized the Gala. Shaw, Foundation Board of Directors, reported that the Gala gross proceeds were $42,000 and expenses were $13,000.   The Foundation is already looking for possible authors for the event.

Shaw gave a brief overview of the Foundation’s Endowment Fund.   The Foundation received a $2,500 donation to the Endowment Fund from the Ehrhart Family Foundation (former Trustee Carol Higman’s Family Trust).    allegra goodman blog Madelyn Lockhart, a $5000 sponsor of the GALA, placed a leaf on Katherine’s Tree in memory of Alexander Lockhart.   The Kosman Foundation donates $2000 annually to the Foundation in honor of Guy Hudspeth. The Foundation has received the 2010 and 2011 donations. Rasch will forward copies of the evaluation form, LRP Accomplishments Report and the self-evaluation to Trustees via email.                         BOARD OF TRUSTEES COMMENTS Ms. Dickison inquired about Friday evening hours at libraries. Field replied that Friday’s are not busy days at libraries. Filer inquired about the status of the Board of Trustees membership.   There are three terms expiring on March 31, 2010.   Advertising will begin in December 2010 and current Trustees should complete a new application at that time, if they want to be considered for a second term. Monroe had inquired about motorcycle parking spaces for the Headquarters parking lot. Hirsch reported that ACLD would be required to submit a site plan to the City of Gainesville allegra goodman blog for any changes to the lot. Filer commented that there are a couple of motorcycle spaces across the street at the post office. Monroe inquired about the District’s current millage rate. Dickison commented that the Headquarters Lobby looks welcoming and beautiful. Filer commented again on the success of the Foundation Gala.

ACLD Foundation -A +A The allegra goodman blog Foundation's mission is to provide supplemental funding to the library with an emphasis on long-term support and planned giving. The Foundation's major goal is to build an endowment that will provide funds for the allegra goodman blog Library District on an annual basis. Funds for the endowment are generated through Foundation membership dues, Author Galas, memorial and gift recognition leaves on Katherine's Tree at the Headquarters Library, and gift donations. On occasion, the Foundation has chosen to support special projects for the library district.   For example, in 2007, the renovation of Meeting Room B at the Headquarters Library in downtown Gainesville was underwritten by the Foundation.
