Field moved approval of the meeting schedule for Fiscal Year 2010-2011.

                 Early and Additional Closings Fiscal Year 2010-2011 – Mr. Dickison moved approval of the recommended Early and Additional Closings for Fiscal Year 2010-2011 and that the calendar be forwarded to the Governing Board with a recommendation for final approval.                 Recommendation of Two Board of Trustees Members to Serve on the PAL (Putnam, Alachua, Levy) County Library Cooperative – Mr. Hirsch reported there has been a slight change concerning allegra banquets il the PAL Cooperative.   Levy County Commission would like to have only elected officials serving on the PAL Board, while Putnam County does not want any elected officials on the Board.   The first meeting of the PAL Cooperative Board will take place in September.   ACLD Trustees, if selected to serve on the PAL Cooperative Board will continue to serve as ACLD Trustees as well. Field volunteered to serve on the PAL Cooperative Board. Hirsch will present these recommendations to the Governing Board Chair for approval.       INFORMATIONAL ITEMS THAT REQUIRE NO ACTION             A. Hirsch highlighted the proposed millage rate in the Monthly Report.   Circulation should break three million by the end of allegra banquets il the Fiscal Year.   Downloadables have been impressive allegra banquets il with circulation already at around 116,000; last fiscal year total circulation was only 30,000.         ACLD Public Budget Hearings Fiscal Year 2010-2011 The ACLD Public Budget Hearings will be held on September 15, 2010 and September 22, 2010 at 5:30 PM in meeting room A at the Library. Hirsch distributed additional informational allegra banquets il items, including a brochure of the $8. 32 taxpayer return on investment in il allegra banquets Florida public libraries and a flyer for allegra banquets il the Children’s Movement of Florida Rally at Santa Fe allegra banquets il College Gymnasium on September 8, 2010.   The Movement allegra banquets il will be traveling around the state of Florida to heighten awareness of children’s needs. Hirsch also introduced Chris Culp as the new Public Services Administrator for Headquarters. Moore asked if it was appropriate for Board of Trustees members to nominate someone for the I Love My Librarian awards. Hirsch responded that, yes, any citizen may nominate a library worker who has an MLS. Dickison noticed that a sign is blocking Katherine’s Tree and asked if staff would remove it.   Staff is developing plans to rearrange the third floor to allow greater traffic flow and to draw more attention to Katherine’s Tree.                CITIZEN COMMENT No Citizen Comments.                  ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 6:05 pm.   Minutes of Meeting The Minutes were approved as presented.        UNFINISHED BUSINESS (There were no items submitted in this category.        Quarterly Performance Review - Alachua County Library District allegra banquets il Pension Trust Fund Investment Mr. Johnson, Bogdahn Consulting, LLC , distributed and presented the Performance Report for the period ending September 30, 2010, which replaced the 2nd Quarter 2010 that was distributed in the agenda packet.   The new report reflects the first full month, September 2010, following the restructuring of the Fund. Johnson did not have comparison data available as he just received the allegra banquets il report ending September 30 yesterday (October 12, 2010). Johnson reported that during the quarter ending September 30, 2010, the quarter started with strong corporate profits followed by government stimulus.
