                Library District Press Releases & Publicity Staff Recommended Action: No action required. Library Director Sol Hirsch presented the above item. GOVERNING BOARD COMMENT Governor Henry thanked the Library District for space for the City of Gainesville Equal Opportunity Office's Dismantling Racism Film Festival Series.   He stated that study circles and action forums were being formed for citizens to give input to combat discrimination. Governor Chestnut thanked the City of Gainesville for the Film Festival and the Library District for cooperating with the County's CHOICES Program. Governor Roy congratulated the Library District for being named Library of the Year and thanked staff for their work on the Partnership Branch. Library Director Hirsch stated that the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum would send a traveling exhibit on the Nazi persecution of homosexuals to be displayed at the Headquarters Library.       Monthly Statistical Report (January 2010) Governor Roy stated that there have been some concerns regarding the Meeting Room as a place for public meetings. Library Director Hirsch stated that staff would review the public's concerns regarding the Meeting Room.               CITIZEN COMMENT There were no citizens present who wished to provide comments to the Governing Board.                 ADJOURNMENT There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 11:26 P. Here's how you can particapte: Stop by the HQ branch and ask to borrow any of the *three books specifically chosen for allegra breastfeeding this year's battle.      (Check the Teens page to find out which books we allegra breastfeeding will be reading this year. ) Read the book carefully and jot down facts and details that you can allegra breastfeeding use to question your opponent with.

 Attend weekly group meetings where you can allegra breastfeeding enjoy snacks and refreshments, compliments of our allegra breastfeeding sponsor Publix, and practice 'battling' each allegra breastfeeding other by answering question s about the books. Become an expert on one or all three books allegra breastfeeding and get ready to make the competion shake in their boots! HQ BOTB team meetings will be held every Wednesday @ 4:30 pm in the Story Hour Room beginning June 15th through August 10th.

The battle finale allegra breastfeeding will take place on Saturday, August 10th @1 pm in Meeting Room A of the Headquarters branch. org) Battle of the Books 2011 -A +A           Battle of the Books 2011 is here! Battle of the Books is a summer allegra breastfeeding long program for teens.   Each branch has a team of teens that will read the same books throughout the allegra breastfeeding summer, meeting up weekly to discuss and train cluminating in a final triva battle on August 13th allegra breastfeeding against all of the other ACLD branches.   Millhoppers BotB team is now looking for recruits for this summers program.   Our first meeting will be on Monday, June 13th: 5:00 - 6:00 in Meeting Room B.   Team meetings for Millhopper Branch will be on each following Monday: 4:30 - 5:30 through August 8th.   All BotB team members will recieve participation prizes and volunteer hours. In this competition teens read books from a designated list and then demonstrate their knowledge in a final battle at the end of the summer.   Our meetings are held every Thursday from 5 - 6 pm; June 16 - August 12 and will be spent organizing the Tower team, quizzing each other on what we've read, and having fun!   You may contact Heather at the Tower Road Branch Library for more information.
