The Foundation has received the 2010 and 2011 donations. The Foundation will participate in the UF Campaign for Charities again this year (UF’s United Way Campaign),  The donations, which total  $7,000 to $10,000 annually, will be placed into the endowment fund. Field stated that the Gala was fantastic and recognized all the work that goes into these types of events.

The Foundation's major goal is to build an endowment that will provide funds for the Library District on an annual basis. On occasion, the Foundation has chosen to support special projects for the library district.   For example, in 2007, the renovation of Meeting Room B at the Headquarters Library in downtown Gainesville was underwritten by the Foundation.
