Livingston, Director of Administrative Services Division, Todd Hutchison, Alachua County Finance Director, Dan Johnson, Bogdahn allegra goodman on being jewish Group, and Terry Rasch, Assistant to the Library Director   I.                 APPROVAL OF MINUTES                         A.   Minutes of Meeting The Minutes were approved as presented.        UNFINISHED BUSINESS (There were no items submitted in this category.        Quarterly Performance Review - Alachua County Library District Pension Trust Fund Investment Mr. Johnson, Bogdahn Consulting, LLC , distributed and presented the Performance Report for the period ending September 30, 2010, which replaced the 2nd Quarter 2010 that was distributed in the agenda packet.   The new report reflects the first full month, September 2010, following the restructuring of the Fund. Johnson did not have comparison data available as he just received the report ending September 30 yesterday (October 12, 2010). Johnson reported that during the quarter ending September 30, 2010, the quarter started with strong corporate profits followed by government stimulus. Accordingly, the Stock Market had its best performance for the month of September in 71 years (since 1939).  During this fiscal year, the Plan reduced costs, exceeded expected return, and funded new allegra goodman on being jewish international equity and active managed bond allegra goodman on being jewish portfolios.   Effective in early August 2010, the move from State Street and Rhumbline to Regions Bank was completed.   We now have one Trust Officer, Cindy Farrow, Regions Bank.    Library District & Finance and Accounting staff received no inquiries from retirees. Monroe was unable to attend the Pension Advisory Committee meeting today but asked that the following questions be read during the meeting and responded to through the minutes or written response. It appears that the Total Fixed Income: Rhumbline Core Bond Index Fund fared well (besides the cash account). Should we reconsider the asset allocations between fixed income and/or domestic equity? markets are rebounding, although there is a large level of public skepticism and concern. I certainly understand there are no crystal balls when dealing with the allegra hicks liquidation stock market, but would like your best estimate. In other words, how would I justify this quarters lost to those with vested interests in this plan? What steps, if any or necessary, have been taken to address the portfolio’s decline? What steps should be taken to make sure the pension fund takes advantage (at a comfortable level, not too aggressive) of what appears to be a growing (albeit slow) economic trend?
