-A +A For those of you who only know Harry and Hogwarts from the wonderful movies, you are in for a treat. Because of the various subplots and and great characters,  the movies had to cut out quite alot. A lot of wizarding details (Weasley clock, garden gnomes), family details (everyone's), and Dobby. Dobby pops up often in the books, and his love of socks and Hermione's knitted hats is one of my favorite things. I hope you will give these books a good look- every one of them starts in the summer with Harry's birthday- so Happy Birthday, Harry. Celebrate Your Freedom To Read -A +A and allegra overdose treatment come join the Parade! The Friends of the Micanopy Library are regular celebrities in the 4th of July Parade in downtown Micanopy. Look for the library staff as well, and give us a wave. If you want to join us dressed as a favorite book character, we will be pleased to have you! The Parade starts at 11 am, Monday, July 4th, and kicks off a wonderful day of events in this lovely little town. Of course, if you want to sit in the shade and watch the fun, bring your book!   The Alachua County Library District will be closed July 4th. -A +A Goodies, prizes, and kudos are not just for the youngest patrons who love reading during the long allegra hicks kaftan hot summer! Hawthorne Branch Library just rewarded our first grownup prizewinner with a beautiful allegra hicks kaftan gift package from local business “Marie’s allegra hicks kaftan Alterations”. Our winner was so excited, she shared with us that just coming to the library always makes her feel like she won something! This time, it was a wrapped surprise she promised she’d show us. The drawing is every Friday, so you have time to come in, check out a book, and join the fun. In this competition teens read 3 specific books, then demonstrate allegra hicks kaftan their knowledge in a final Jeopardy-style battle at the end of the summer.

  Our meetings are held every Tuesday from 12 - 1 pm; June 14 - August 9. You may allegra hicks kaftan have noticed the roof-top installation in progress. Here’s a quick update on the plan and our progress. The library district has a 20-year agreement with a local vendor to lease roof space for this 100kw system at the Millhopper Branch. The Headquarters Branch is also participating in the “Feed in Tariff” program with Gainesville Regional Utilities. The projected total monthly revenue for the combined solar panel system at both locations is $2,205 for the duration of the lease.  Project installation should be complete by this September. The agreement states that all maintenance, taxes and liability insurance will be the vendor’s responsibility.   In addition to promoting sustainability through conservation, the library will re-invest this additional revenue into community projects that will help to serve all Alachua County citizens. Everyone's read the three books at least once and now we're specializing and quizing eachother.
