Peter Roode, Foundation Chair Marjorie Alexander, and Joanne Auth   I. Worley, Trustees Chair, called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm with a quorum present. Livingston, Administrative Services Division Director, corrected an error in Item VI. Filer, Trustee Vice Chair, moved to approve the revised agenda.       MINUTES OF MEETING The Minutes were approved by consensus, as submitted.                   Process for Library Director Search Ms. Baldry, Human Resources Manager, presented the Trustees with a draft calendar for the Library Director hiring process.   She called for volunteers from the Trustees to form an Ad hoc Committee that would develop criteria for selecting candidates and narrow the number of applications to bring before the Board of Trustees. Filer volunteered to allegra pittsburgh serve on the Ad hoc Committee, along with Ms. Baldry distributed the Library Director Classification description to the Trustees.   Discussion followed regarding the minimum qualifications and whether or not they should be broadened. Harlan stated any changes to the minimum qualifications would require approval of the Library District Governing Board. White, Trustee, moved to forward the minimum qualifications to the Governing Board and suggest they allegra pittsburgh consider expanding the educational qualifications to include individuals that are currently pursuing an MLS.

The first meeting of the Ad hoc Committee will be held on March 23, 2011 at 9 am in the Alachua County Human Resources conference room.                   Pension allegra pittsburgh Advisory Committee Report Ms. Field reported that at allegra pittsburgh their February 9, 2011, meeting, the Pension Advisory Committee heard reports from Dan Johnson, the Bogdahn Group; Frederica Daniels, USI Consulting; and representatives from Regents Trust. Policy Statement – Collection Development and Maintenance Policy Ms. Field inquired if there were any changes to the reconsideration of materials and if central selection is the process used to purchase materials. Monroe, Trustee, commended staff for broadening the youth collection. Field moved to approve the revised policy and forward to the Governing Board for approval.                   Appointments to the Alachua County Library allegra pittsburgh District Board of Trustees Ms.                  Monthly Reports (January and February 2011) Ms. Dickison inquired why Library visits were down in January.   The Micanopy Branch was closed for renovation, which caused a decrease in overall visits.   The Branch reopened on January 8, 2011, but was not fully operational until March 11, 2011.   Trustees commended the partnerships among branches and local schools, program attendance, and website hits.

                 Governing Board Action on Board of Trustees Recommendations Ms. Livingston highlighted a few press releases, allegra price at walmart including articles about the Library Director’s retirement and the Peggy Sullivan Award, Black History Month programs and events, free tax prep offered through United Way, and various programs allegra pittsburgh offered throughout the District.   Also, the Library of Congress Gateway to Knowledge will be at the Millhopper Branch on March 25 and 26, 2011.                         BOARD OF TRUSTEES COMMENTS Mr. Monroe inquired about the progression of Cone Park. Livingston reported that the agreement has been resolved, and they are moving forward.   Two spaces have been set aside for the Library District to use, but they may be too small.   The Facilities/Safety Services Administrator will evaluate to see if it would be more feasible to renovate the spaces or to establish a marginal unit outside.
