When not required for District use, they may be made available, free of charge, to individuals or community groups whose purposes are civic, cultural, educational, or recreational in nature. Regulations July, 2011 -A +A The Alachua County Library District is partnering with the University of Florida Mobile Outreach Clinic to bring primary health care services for women, men and children to the Alachua County Library Headquarters downtown. Abovitz, now in New York, is the editor and founder of Tom Tom Magazine: the only magazine about female drummers. She will also bring up and discuss the broader topic of women in music in the media and social networking amongst women musicians and consumers of music. They join thousands of other libraries and schools across the country who are celebrating this year’s theme, "Mix and Mash @ your library®. ” Teen Tech Week is a national initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) allegro bus interior aimed at teens, their parents, educators and other concerned adults. The purpose of the initiative is to ensure that teens are competent and ethical users of technology, especially they types offered through libraries. January, 2011 -A +A Alachua County Library District will be participating in “Snapshot:  A Day in the Life of Florida Libraries” on January 25, 2011.   This state-wide project will illustrate the importance of libraries for Florida’s citizens through collection of statistics, stories and photographs. Alachua County Library District will join libraries across Florida in conducting special events, taking pictures, and collecting statistics and customer comments showing how Floridians are utilizing their libraries that day.   The Florida Library Association, in partnership with the State Library and Archives of Florida, will be posting the results on a Web site, where everyone can see these powerful stories.
