PAL Library Cooperative Governing Board Report Ms. Field, PAL Governing Board, reported that officers were elected at their first meeting on September 23, 2010. Hirsch, Library Director, added that the Board went through formalities for the State Aid Application, and that the State has found no deficiencies. The next meeting will be held on November 9, 2010, at 1 pm in the Headquarters Foundation Room. The PAL Governing Board does not have a set meeting time and place; meetings are scheduled according to Board member availability. Pension Advisory Committee Report The Pension Advisory Committee met on October 13, 2010. Dan Johnson, Bogdahn Consulting Group, reported the move from State Street Bank to Regions Trust for account administration and from Rhumbline to the previously approved investment firms was completed, and this was a smooth transition. This was the first full quarter following the restructuring of the Pension Fund, and the Fund did well for the period ending September 30, 2010. The Pension Advisory Committee approved a recommendation to the Pension Board of Trustees to authorize Regions Trust to rebalance the R&D account quarterly to maintain a balance of $200,000, making contributions or distributions as necessary from the investment portfolios at their target weights.
