Irby, Clerk to the Library District Governing Board It's Battle of the Books time again! -A +A We are now actively recruiting team members to join HQ's summer Battle of the Books team!    Enlist your skills to help us slay the competition and bring home the trophy today! Here's how you can particapte: Stop by the HQ branch and ask to borrow any of the *three books specifically chosen for this year's battle.      (Check the Teens page to find out which books we will be reading this year.

) Read the book carefully and jot down facts and details that you can use to question your opponent with.  Attend weekly allegra 45 group meetings where you can enjoy snacks and refreshments, compliments of our sponsor Publix, and practice 'battling' each other by answering question s about the books. Become an expert on one or all three books and get ready to make the competion shake in allegra 45 their boots! HQ BOTB team meetings will be held every Wednesday @ 4:30 pm in the Story Hour Room beginning June 15th through August 10th. The battle finale will take place on Saturday, August 10th @1 pm in Meeting Room A of the Headquarters branch. Battle of the Books is a summer long program for teens.   Each branch has a team of teens that will read the same books throughout the summer, meeting up weekly to discuss and train cluminating in a final triva battle on August 13th against all of the other ACLD branches.   Millhoppers BotB team is now looking for recruits for this summers program.   Our first meeting will be on Monday, June allegra 45 13th: 5:00 - 6:00 in Meeting Room B.   Team meetings for Millhopper Branch will be on each following Monday: 4:30 - 5:30 allegra 45 through August 8th.   All BotB team members will recieve participation prizes and allegra 45 volunteer hours. Some team meetings will allegra 45 have snacks provided by Moe's Southwest Grill. In this competition teens allegra 45 read books from a designated list and then demonstrate their knowledge in a final battle at allegra 45 the end of the summer.   Our meetings allegra 45 are held every Thursday from 5 - 6 pm; June 16 - allegra 45 August 12 and will be spent organizing the allegra 45 Tower team, quizzing each other on what we've read, and having fun!   You may contact Heather at the Tower Road Branch Library for more information.     The final allegra 45 battle, sponsored by our friends at Moe's Southwest Grill, will be held at the Headquarters Library on Saturday, August 13, 2011.
