          Governor Pinkoson moved to appoint Governor Scherwin Henry as Chair of the Library District Governing Board.   The motion carried 4-0, with Chair Henry out of the room.

Irby opened the floor for nominations for Vice-Chair.           Governor Byerly moved to appoint Governor Paula M. Chair Henry read and presented the Proclamation to allegra tampa printing and imaging Library Director Sol Hirsch who allegra tampa printing and imaging accepted it with gratitude.       Library Director Search Classification Specifications Staff Recommended Action: Approve the Board of Trustees suggestion to expand the degree requirement to include individuals that are currently pursuing a MLS.           Board of Trustees Chair Kim Worley and Alachua County Human Resources Manager Kim Baldry presented the above item.           Chair Henry recognized Dorothy Field, Peter Roode, Vivian Filer, Jeanne Weismantel, Marjorie Alexander, Joanne Auth, and Library Director Sol Hirsch, who presented comments to the Board.           Governor Pinkoson moved that the educational component of the criteria for the Library Director’s job be that a candidate has achieved or is in the process of achieving a MLS degree.

          Chair Henry recognized Alachua County Human Resources Manager Kim Baldry, Kim Worley, and Dorothy Field, who presented comments to the Board.
